Until a few months ago, Yucatán had only four Magical Towns: Valladolid and Izamal, which earned this title in 2012, and Maní and Sisal , which joined the tourism program in 2020.
Currently, Yucatán proudly has seven Magical Towns in total. In June 2023, thanks to their ability to captivate visitors with their history, architecture, and unique atmosphere, the Secretary of Tourism added Espita, Motul, and Tekax to the list.
